Chinese Geely may get sued by Rolls-Royce in addition to recent lawsuit by Land Rover

Chinese car manufacturer Geely may get hit by yet another lawsuit, this time by Rolls-Royce. The British car manufacturer claims that the Geely GE model resembles a little too much the Rolls-Royce Phantom. We do have to agree with Rolls-Royce on this one as you can see from the pictures below.

A Rolls-Royce spokesman has told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “Rolls-Royce is currently keeping its options open and is in consultation with its legal advisers.”
This new lawsuit would arrive on top of a recent lawsuit by Land Rover. Land Rover has officially filed and won a lawsuit against Geely arguing that the Chinese auto manufacturer’s use of the company’s Chinese name translated to “Land Tiger” constituting copyright infringement.

Car manufacturers had a hard time proving their cases in Chinese courts; however that seems to be changing with the recent victory of Ford over an F-150 clone. Geely recently has re-designed the GE to look less Rolls-Royce like, as you can see in the picture below.
